#1 - The concept

1. The Map:

This is the map, all the levels are located on there. Boss levels are marked with a red X. All together there are 91 levels, including one tutorial level (the HQ) and 10 boss levels.

1.1 Structure of the map:
After you finished the tutorial level (1), you will unlock all stages with a (2) in it. Those are the 'first levels'. When you're done with them, you will unlock the first boss stage (3). When you beat the boss, you can advance to all the stage (4) levels, after beating those, you will unlock the next boss stage (5) and so on.

1.2 Water- and Electricity-stations:
There are 8 water stations and 9 electricity stages. Upon clearing electricity station stages, you will gain +1 mechanical point for each cleared stage. Upon clearing water station stages, you will gain +1 upgrade point for each cleared stage. That means, if you cleared all those stages, you will be at 10 upgrade points and 9 mechanical points for each level you clear (you start with getting 1 of each for each cleared level). What those points are will be explained later.

Levels with special buildings, such as water stations play a bit differently than normal ones. There are 2 paths, one leading to the next screen (i.e. you lose a life when enemies pass) and one path that leads to the water station. You have to defend both those paths with towers in order to A) clear the level and B) save the water station. If you don't save it, you won't get the bonus.

1.3. Banks
There are currently 28 stages, where you can optionally build banks. The game will ask you, if you want to build a bank at the beginning of the stage. If you chose not to, it will be a normal stage. If you choose to build a bank, another path will open up and you have to defend the bank, similar to defending water- and power stations.

You will start out with getting +5 lockpoints every 10 seconds (additional to the LP you gain from killing creeps). Each saved bank gives you +1 LP every 10 seconds and for the later levels, it's needed.

2.1. In-game

2.2. Mechanics
Whenever you upgrade a tower, it might need more space. As you can see, peach tower lvl 1 needs 4 squares. Lvl 2 needs 9. There are some towers that will require 6 (3x2) or maybe even 3 (1x3). Some will just require 1 square.

When you researched the last skill, unlocking, you click a tower and select "unlock". It will unlock for a few seconds and wrack major havoc. It will take a while before the key of glorton is recharged though, so the player has to chose when and which tower to unlock carefully. Each tower has different special abilities when unlocked.

You can put the game speed to x2, pause it, send in next waves and resume the game in the menu.

If you click a tower, you can upgrade it (attack, range, rate), sell it or, if the skill has been researched, unlock it.

3.1. Skills

There are 3 categories for skills:
1. Skills that enhance the money you get for each killed creep and that sorts. (Enhancing money in general, also from banks. Lowering costs for towers, increasing refund for selling towers, etc)

2. Skills that damage the creeps. (Reducing their max-hp, reducing their speed, making them more vulnerable to poison, slow effects, etc., reducing their armor/defense and so on)

3. Enhancing EXP (more exp for killing creeps and things like that)

4.1. Towers

There will be 3 different kinds of towers. Ones that do a lot of damage, ones with a wide range and ones with a high rate of fire. 45 towers in total.

Once you have enough mechanical points, you can unlock new towers. In order reach a section's lvl8 tower, you need all lvl 1-7 towers of that section. You just need one lvl 2 tower of one section to get a lvl 3 tower of the same section though. Same goes for lvl 3 and 4 etc.

The rest of it is self explanatory I think.

5.1. General game mechanics
Generally, it's a normal TD, just with some minor changes.

5.2 Skill, mechanical and upgrade points

Skillpoints will be used to research skills. They will be rewarded for each level up.

Mechanical points will be used to unlock new towers. +1 rewarded after each cleared stage. Once you clear stages with the right buildings in them, you will gain more for each cleared stage.

Upgrade points will be used to upgrade towers (without having to upgrade them in the game. You will still start with a lvl1 tower, when building them but it will have better stats, depending on what you upgraded. The stats will be % based, so they raise exponentially when you upgrade them ingame. ). +1 rewarded after each cleared stage. Once you clear stages with the right buildings in them, you will gain more for each cleared stage.
